Are You Ready for CMMC?
The Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) is a Department of Defense (DoD) program to protect the defense industrial base (DIB) from increasingly frequent and complex cyber attacks. While the rulemaking process is not yet complete, it’s not too early to start preparing, especially since the official courseware for Certified CMMC Assessor (CCA) and Certified CMMC Professional (CCP) are now available.

Who needs to be certified and by when?
With limited exceptions, the DoD intends to require compliance with CMMC 2.0 as a condition of contract award for anyone working with DoD information.
CMMC 2.0 requirements could begin appearing in contracts as early as May 2023, and contractors must achieve certification before they can win future DoD congracts.
You don’t want to wait. Plus, as an early adopter, you may gain an advantage over others not yet certified. The first step is enrolling employees in training to prepare them for certification exam(s). But, with all the potential CMMC training providers and courses out there, where do you start?

You will examine the CMMC 2.0 model, framework, context, and application within the DoD, as well as the expectations and requirements that will be imposed upon organizations that do business with the DoD. It will also help you to identify threats to cybersecurity and privacy within an IoT ecosystem and implement appropriate countermeasures.
